WHAT ARE OUR GOALS?
Our organization seeks to stimulate interest and increase knowledge in the field of wildlife among Truman students and the general public. We create campus awareness of wildlife issues.
We promote good public relations and communication among our own organization, professional fish and wildlife organizations, state and federal natural resource agencies, and public organizations involved in natural resource management.
Our organization hopes to prepare members for careers (if desired) in wildlife biology, conservation, restoration, and land management as well as encourage professionalism and high standards of scholarship.
HOW DO WE ACHIEVE IT?
To aid in the achievement of these goals, the Student Chapter proposes to hold chapter meetings and activities on a regular basis that expand members’ knowledge of wildlife science and natural resources management. Conduct educational programs on wildlife issues for the campus and surrounding community and ensure the continuation of the Student Chapter through the ongoing recruitment of new members.
